12V Smart Arm™ 5.8′ White Power Awning Arm Kit (759405) by Solera Awnings®. Hello automation. This programmable awning kit lets you operate everything from a weatherproof controller built into the awning arm itself – making for easy operation without going in your RV. Give your RV’s awning the ultimate upgrade with the Solera® Smart Arm™ 12V Power Awning by Lippert™. This intelligently designed power awning kit incorporates several innovative features sure to enhance everyone’s camping experience. Best of all, these new features are all accessible from a weatherproof controller built right into the awning arm itself, making for easy and convenient access without having to go inside the RV to operate the switches.
With just a push of a button, you can extend or your 5th wheel RV or travel trailer’s awning in 2nds. You can even lock it in place with the one-touch, safety lock feature, or operate your awning’s lights (sold separately). And for enhanced security and peace of mind you can easily upgrade your Smart Arm assembly by adding the Smart Arm Wind Sensor or Infrared Security Sensor (sold separately).
With the Wind Sensor, your awning will automatically retract in the event of excessive wind speeds – that way, if you’re asleep or not near your campsite, you don’t have to worry about your awning being damaged during inclement weather. And for increased security, when the Infrared Security Sensor detects heat or motion outside of your RV, it automatically turns on your awning’s lights – helping to deter any unwanted visitors or animals away from your rig. The Smart Arm also comes equipped with an automatic rain dumping feature, so your awning arms drop when too much water has pooled inside of the canopy. This helps to prevent damage to your awning’s fabric and arm equipment. And if your awning would happen to lose power, there’s a built-in manual override feature that lets you extend or retract your awning with the use of a power drill (not included).
